Family Life Enrichment
The FLE committee was formed in 2014 and born out of the need to offer programs that families can do together. This program offers a variety of activities that families can do together for little or no cost to the family. FLE is a self-sustaining group that does not receive an apportionment from the churches general fund.
Since its founding, the FLE committee has established an annual craft and vendor show, annual church/community Christmas party, annual “kindness counts” campaign for Easter, annual trunk or treat, dinner and movie nights, appetizer face-offs, family roller skating, family bowling days, harvest fests and summer activities for children.
FLE has and continues to work with many committees church wide including The Good Samaritan Food Pantry with their annual back pack drive, God Squad youth group for fundraising, providing VBS with an ice cream social with “Josh and Gab” during open registration, and the worship committee with planning Memorial Day services and 5th Sunday brunches. And most recently, we had our first annual “touch a truck” event for the community where every church committee was invited to host a booth to promote and showcase their committee’s purpose and vision.
FLE has represented the church at community events outside of the church walls at “fun to be a kid day” and “bark in the park”.
